Alexandra Thomson

Metis artist and educator, Alexandra Thomson has been a passionate arts teacher for over 20 years. She has taught drama, dance and art as well as ESL and core subjects. She currently teaches secondary drama for the Delta school district, and art at the Surrey Art Gallery. She has been a Fine Arts Department Head, a district level Coordinator, and she maintains membership as a professional actor in the CAEA. She is currently in her 2nd year of an M.Ed at UBC with a focus on Creative Pedagogy.  

Alexandra believes that engaging in the arts is one of the best ways to learn, develop confidence, and express meaningful connections. Her classrooms and camps are always fun for all levels and abilities.  

Alexandra lives in Richmond and she is looking forward to being able to ride her bike to work.
